📱 Information We Collect

Paperly is designed with privacy at its foundation. The app processes all documents locally on your device. We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or location unless you voluntarily provide it (e.g., when contacting support).

The app does not require account creation or sign-in to function.

📄 Documents & Files

All documents scanned, edited, signed, merged, split, or otherwise processed within Paperly remain entirely on your device. Specifically:

• We do not upload your documents to any server or cloud service.
• We do not access, read, or analyze the content of your documents.
• We do not store copies of your documents on external servers.
• We do not share your documents with any third party.
• OCR (Optical Character Recognition) processing is performed entirely on-device.

Your documents are stored in your device's local storage and are under your complete control. You may delete them at any time through the app or your device's file manager.

📊 Analytics & Diagnostics

To improve app stability and performance, we may collect anonymous crash reports and basic diagnostic data. This data:

• Does not include any document content or personal files.
• Does not include personally identifiable information.
• May include device type, operating system version, app version, and crash logs.
• Is processed in aggregate to identify and fix bugs.

You can opt out of analytics data collection through your device's privacy settings.

🔒 Data Security

Since all document processing occurs on your device, your data security is maintained through your device's built-in security features, including:

• Device-level encryption (when enabled).
• Biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID) for device access.
• App sandbox isolation provided by the operating system.

We recommend keeping your device's operating system and the Paperly app updated to the latest version for optimal security.

🔗 Third-Party Services

Paperly may use the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases (if applicable). Apple's privacy policy governs their data collection.
• Crash Reporting: Anonymous crash data may be processed by our crash reporting provider to help us improve app stability.

We do not integrate with any advertising networks or data brokers.

👶 Children's Privacy

Paperly does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the app does not require account creation and processes all data locally, minimal data is collected from any user regardless of age.
